INSTRUMENT DONATION

“Our instrument donation scheme allows children and young adults to make music in memory of their loved ones.”

— Joseph Cavalli-Price (Founder: Music In Hospices)

CREATING FUTURE MUSICIANS

During the final days of his mother’s life, our founder, Joe used a honky-tonk piano to unite a small South Wales hospice.

Imagine what could be achieved if that’s multiplied across the country.

We’re creating the next generation of musicians, through our pioneering instrument donation scheme. Saving instruments from landfills and alleviating social and financial barriers to music education.

MUSIC IN HOSPICES IS FOR PEOPLE, PLANET AND PROGRESS.

HOW IT WORKS

INSTRUMENT DONATION

Through our partner organisations, we receive refurbished, secondhand musical instruments ready for donation to a good home.

IDENTIFY RECIPIENTS

Collaborating with our hospices and social-support teams we identify children and young adults who may benefit from a free instrument.

MUSICAL GIVEAWAY

Then the fun part! We wrap the presents and organise the musical giveaway at one of the regular sessions, invite the children and their families and watch the smiles as they receive the gift of music.
